AI Ops Highlights

AI Ops, short for artificial intelligence for IT operations, encompasses platforms that harness the potential of machine learning (ML) and analytics to automate IT operations. For an in-depth understanding of ML Ops, refer to our explanatory content. In essence, our speakers, Sai Sharanya Nalla, Principal Data Scientist at Nike, and Alexis Koalla, Head of Operations Transformation towards Agile and DevSecOps at Orange, both emphasized the pivotal role of AI Ops in driving a comprehensive data-centric organization.

Sai walked us through the process of constructing an AI Ops framework on Amazon's AWS platform. She elucidated the steps an enterprise can undertake, beginning with establishing observability through tools like telemetry data. This journey progresses to automating operations, building upon the foundation of efficient data collection and storage, and culminating in activities such as pattern mining and querying.

On the other hand, Koalla delved into the rationale behind implementing such a system within an enterprise. While he hails from the intricate realm of telecommunications, he advocated that AI Ops is indispensable for any serious enterprise, irrespective of its complexity. He underscored its value in cost reduction and efficiency augmentation, particularly pertinent in the current global landscape of challenges.
