WHERE IS YOUR FOCUS?
Nowadays we easily experience demotivation, stress, anxiety and fear. Leaders find it hard to motivate their team because they are in the same shoes. The elders or mothers/fathers of families are challenges because emotions are so many. The reason to all is the same: It all has to do with our inner dialogue that focuses on what is missing, what is lacking and what is not there.
Do you want to focus on what is not right or really on where you are in the moment? Take any unresourceful inner dialogue only as a signal to more consciously look forward. Design even more than before your future. Set a direction to yourself where you want to be eventually and how to take steps in that direction. Aligning ourselves with what is most important and looking above… is the key to be able to more thoroughly build a resourceful mind set and attitude.
Learn how to refocus from loss, lack and sorrow or fear to saying to yourself what you do have, what is available and where you are going.
Here a tip that works wonders for me, my loved ones and friends. Make it a point to stop three times a day and say three things about
- How healthy you are
- The love you experience
- And all the things you do have
...vehemently to yourself internally of even better out aloud. Appreciation and gratitude is the way to go in challenging times. As you practice looking above and looking forward… set your directions by writing down your values, your positive outcomes and what you are committed to – to assure that you are changing your inner dialogue to creating motivation, inner calm and peace and composure. What a chance to further develop yourself and move forward.
